Anti nuclear power demo in Tokyo

People taking part in The Hangenbatsu Choukyodai Demo which translates at the Anti Nuclear powerplants super huge demo protest against the use of nuclear power. The subject of the dangers of nuclear power generation has become more pressing and popular since the March 11th 2011 earthquake and tsunami damaged the Fukushima Daichi nuclear power plant 200 kms north of Tokyo causing radioactive leaks and bringing the spectre of nuclear contamination to the capital. Organizers said around 7,000 people turned up for the demo that started in Koenji Chou Park and marched around Koenji with punk bands bands leading the good-natured protest as they preformed on a truck at the head of the march.
