Remembrance Sunday at Hodogaya Cemetery in Yokohama
A French soldier and diplomats take part in the Remembrance Sunday ceremony at the Hodogaya, Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery in Hodogaya, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. Sunday November 12th 2017. The Hodagaya Cemetery holds the remains of more than 1500 servicemen and women, from the Commonwealth but also from Holland and the United States, who died as prisoners of war or during the Allied occupation of Japan. Each year officials from the British and Commonwealth embassies, the British Legion and the British Chamber of Commerce honour the dead at a ceremony in this beautiful cemetery.
