The Fifth anniversary of the March 11th Tohoku earthquake and tsunami

Friday March 11th 2016. 2016 marks the fifth anniversary of the Great East Japan earthquake. This magnitude 9 quake caused a tsunami that flattened large parts of the Tohoku coast killing around 18,000 people and caused a nuclear disaster at Fukushima Daichi Power Station.
