Tanabata Matsuri in Fussa

Two young Japanese girls wearing summer kimono called Yukata enjoy Tanabata matsuri in Fussa,, Tokyo, Japan. Sunday August 7th 2016. The Tanabata or star festival is usually celebrated in July though early August more closely follows the traditional calendar. Wishes are tied to wish trees set up in streets and other public places and some areas hold large street parties and parades. The Fussa Tanabata matsuri was started in 1951.
