Japanese prime Minister declares he considering re-imposing a State of Emergency on Tokyo to combat rising Corinavirus infections
Japanese Prime Minister, Yoshiihide Suga a large TV screen in Akihabara UDX building reporting the news that he is considering declaring a state of Emergency in the Greater Tokyo area to combat rising COVID-19 infection rates. Akihabara, Tokyo, Japan. Monday January 4th 2021. In response to a apparent second-wave of COVID-19 infections and after calls to act by Tokyo Governor, Yuriko Koike, PM Suga stated that he is prepared to impose a state of emergency,, similar to the one called in Spring 2020, advising businesses to close or limit opening and urging people to avoid going out.
