The Fifth anniversary of the March 11th Tohoku earthquake and tsunami

The magnitude 9, Great East Japan earthquake struck at 2:46 on March 11th 2011 and caused a tsunami that flattened large parts of the Tohoku coast killing around 18,000 people and caused and nuclear disaster at Fukushima Daichi Power station. Solar farms are being built in the affected areas which will not be used as residential or agricultural land again.
