The banner, by Yahoo Japan, will be on display until March 14th and vividly marks the 8th anniversary of the 2011 magnitude 9 earthquake and tsunami on Japan's north-east coast that killed nearly 16,000 people .The red line marks the heightest tsunami wave at 16.7 metres, which hit Ofunato, Iwate on that day.
