Immigration in Japan

Friday September 28th 2018 Immigration levels in Japan remain low with over 98% of the population remaining ethnically Japanese. Nearly 70,000 people immigrated to the country in 2017 and this despite reluctance from many Japanese is likely to increase as the native population ages and declines.
