Shiji-go-san festival


Portarit of a young girl in kimono as she celebrates her Shiji-go-san festival. Meiji Shrine, Harajuku, Tokyo, Japan. November 22nd 2008. Shiji-go-san matsuri or the 7-5-3 festival celebrates girls who have reached the age of 3 and 7 and boys who are aged 5. The chidren dress up in traditional kimono and are blessed at a shrine.
