Tsunami effects in Sendai


A TV set lies half buried in the mud of the ruined landscape in Shimo Masuda near Sendai airport. Residents had 30 minutes to flee the tsunami after a magnitude 9 earthquake struck off the coast on March 11th leveling the town killing large numbers of people. Shimo Masuda, Sendai, Miyagi, Japan.
